practice Project: Lemonade Stand

Problem: You are the owner of a lemonade stand that has not been properly managed. Your task is to make as much money as you can selling lemonade. You are challenged to determine the optimum combination of capital investment in materials and lemonaderesources while considering environmental factors such as temperature and weather.

Background: Running a lemonade stand is a classic business for the dog days of summer. This Lemonade Stand Business Simulation will test your ability to determine what trade-offs you will make to be a successful business owner. When you access the simulation, you will be presented with instructions on how to play. Read the instructions of how to run the simulation.

To help you with your business, use the Lemonade Tracking Sheet to record your daily results. Look for trends over time to determine the optimum amount of lemons, sugar, and ice to use as well as how much to charge as the weather changes. This will be your "formula for success."
