Investigate: Design Factors

Many factors are considered in the engineering design process. These may include:ipods

  • Safety
  • Reliability
  • Quality Control
  • Environmental impact
  • Risks and benefits
  • Ergonomics

You are to find or create a picture or digital image of a product that demonstrates and displays consideration for as many of these and other design considerations. With the image you submit, list and briefly describe how this product demonstrates design toward the qualities you feel the product provides.

Assignment: Factors Influencing Design

Select a product that displays or demonstrates as many of the design factors presented, as possible, or you may identify other considerations that were factors in the engineering design of the product. Submit a digital image of the product, a listing of the design considerations evident, and a brief description explaining how each identified design consideration is evident in the design.
